Hotel Vernet has emerged from a complete overhaul, which has seen its once traditional interiors transformed into a contemporary haven. The designer, Marseille-born interior architect, François Champsaur has employed his characteristic attention to detail, by artfully playing with light and volume, complementing the space in warming tones with modern furniture and tactile fabrics.
The clean limestone façade and charming black ironwork balconies of this post-Haussman building, is the work of French architect Albert Joseph Sélonier, who over his career designed close to 300 buildings which can be seen throughout the capital. Set over seven floors, the landmark structure merges seamlessly with the aesthetics of the street, while inside, the elaborate glass ceiling in the restaurant, designed by Gustave Eiffel, holds centre stage.
The hôtel Vernet is a sumptuous Parisian building in the legendary and true « Haussmann » style. An institution which has seen centuries of change, situated in just about the most perfect location, between the golden Triangle of Paris and the Place de l’Etoile on the Champs-Elysées.
